HAIKU

A black and white photograph of a train schedule display board showing departure at 18:18 and arrival at 18:21 for trains to Decin and Usti N.L. in Czechia.

I attempted to capture the fleeting essence of the moment and the swiftly erased traces of our thoughts in this series of six frames taken from a train window.

A stable and seemingly meaningful beginning; in each successive photograph, the impression of a world steadily fading due to the train's speed is presented.

The photo series, symbolizing transcending the visible and getting lost in the flow of time, takes its name from the Japanese traditional poetry term 'Haiku', known for its concise expression with few words.

In this series, I aimed to capture the emotional experience of observing the rapidly changing landscapes of the external world. Our visual expression is an invitation to explore how speed and change affect our thought world.

The concept of 'journey and window' something many of us have experienced, takes us on a voyage where meaning quickly vanishes. Almost like life itself...
